R markdown to show how track joining was executed for the mitochondrial trafficking analysis in Jestice et al, 'HDAC6 inhibition alleviates mitochondrial trafficking in novel models of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 2A'.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is the most common form of peripheral neuropathy, with Type 2A being the most common and severe form of the axonal subtypes. In order to understand and shed new light on how Charcot-Marie-Tooth Type 2A (CMT2A) mutations cause disease, mitochondrial transport in the axons of limb-innervating motor neurons was analysed. Kymographs were split into smaller images and analysed using KymoButler (Jakobs et al., 2019) and the attached code was used to rejoin kymographs and analyse the parameter of motile or stationary mitochondria.
