Experiences from applying the e-FAVOR method in the field experiment

<p dir="ltr">Société Wallonne des Eaux (SWDE) is the largest water production and distribution company in Wallonia, a region of Belgium. SWDE is implementing a comprehensive leakage management program. The St. Servais Center DMA, part of the city of Namur, has been selected as a pilot case study. Two complementary methods have been tested: an acoustic approach using the award-winning Hydroconnect solution from Hydroko and the e-FAVOR method developed by De Montfort University. This paper presents experience gained from application of the e-FAVOR method and the Styx software to the St Servais Centre DMA. The paper describes the challenges and the results from all stages of the experiment. Starting from meter placement, measurements collection and processing and finally running the Styx software and the results analysis.</p><p dir="ltr">This paper was presented at the 21st Computing and Control in the Water Industry Conference (CCWI 2025) at the University of Sheffield (1st - 3rd September 2025).</p>
