Coronal Off-Limb Structures Dataset (COLS-24)
This Coronal Off-Limb Structures Dataset (COLS-24) encompasses a comprehensive collection of observational data pertaining to coronal off-limb structures, such as prominences, coronal loops, and coronal jets, captured by the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) aboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) from June 2010 to December 2021. Spanning nearly an entire solar cycle, this dataset comprises 877,843 identified structures across 32,985 images, allowing for detailed statistical analysis of their properties, including intensity, area, and spatial distribution. Created using specific image processing techniques, such as mathematical morphology algorithms, the dataset facilitates the examination of coronal features and their behavior over time. This resource can help investigate coronal phenomena, enhancing the understanding of solar activity and its implications for space weather forecasting.
