Laboratory tests were performed at the University of Sheffield using a full-scale drinking water test rig.  Sediment was added to the test rig from different water systems in the UK and Netherlands.  The turbidity under different flow conditions was monitoring using a bespoke measurement lens with readings taken at the bottom, middle, and top of the pipe.
