Data in support of "On the continuous and discontinuous precipitation of the L12 phase in Cu-Ni-Al alloys" submitted for publication in Materialia. The data includes:

- Scanning electron microscopy images and the related particle distribution analyses. These can be read using conventional image processing software. The particle distribution analyses are shown in a spreadsheet and as a .pxp file that can be read using the Wavemetrics Igor Pro software. Optimum particle calculations are also included in the folder labelled SEM - Particle Analysis — these are provided in a spreadsheet format and include the thermodynamic modelling predictions for the APB energies (the spreadsheet includes an explanation of the method used).

- Differential Scanning Calorimetry raw data and associated analysis. The data can be read in traditional graphing software and additional files are also given in a .pxp format compatible with Wavemetrics Igor Pro.

- Electron Backscattered Diffraction data in the form of maps that can be read using conventional image processing software and .ctf files that can be used in Channel 5 EBSD data analysis software or MTex using Matlab.

- Hardness data spreadsheet read in conventional spreadsheet software.

- SEM/EDS maps of compositions and compositional analysis of the homogenised sample compositions. These can be read by conventional image processing and spreadsheet software.

- XRD raw data. Raw data can be opened in conventional spreadsheet managers.
