Data used to characterise gastropod locomotive mucus. FTIR is used to analyse and identify gastropod locomotive mucus, as well as a tool to classify gastropods based on spectral features. Also, our study collected data providing information related to the relative proportion of protein secondary structures at different temperatures of 12 gastropod species (including terrestrial slugs and snails, and freshwater snails).
