The purpose of the dataset is to categorise archaeological
features and, where appropriate, group individual elements into one monument
feature.
It is the second of two related, primary
datasets that comprise an ArcGIS geodatabase created during doctoral research
exploring later prehistoric landscapes of Snowdonia. The first dataset is a transcription
dataset that records individual features identified through analysis of aerial
reconnaissance surveys such as lidar and aerial photography.
The folder includes 8 files needed to open a shape file in GIS, and a pdf document detailing the metadata captured from embedded metadata in the original xml files created in ArcGIS.
