<p dir="ltr">This contains the analysis for Chapter Six, <i>Sounds of the Self: Exploring Music as a Self-Construal Priming Tool</i>, of the doctoral thesis - <i>mUSic or musIc?: Examining the Role of Self-Construal in Affective Experiences with Music Across Cultures.</i> This study investigated whether music listening can be used to prime interdependent and independent self-construals.</p><p dir="ltr">This study received ethical approval via the University of Sheffield's ethics review procedure, as administered by the Department of Music (application reference #061030).</p>
