‘What about me?’’ Rapid Scoping Review: Adults with learning disabilities living on the edge of support: what is it like and what needs to change in England and Wales? Supplementary Materials

‘What about me?’’ Rapid Scoping Review: Adults with learning disabilities living on the edge of support: what is it like and what needs to change in England and Wales.

The files in this archive relate to part of a larger NIHR funded research project in the School of Education, The University of Sheffield, which explored the experiences of people with learning disabilities and teir informal carers when they are categorised by the Social Care system as in receipt of 'low level support'. 'Low level support' usually means support that is not funded directly, but offered voluntarily by family members, or friends, or charities and community hubs.

The main part of this project was a qualitative analysis of interviews with people with learning disabilities and their informal carers, and this rapid review was intended as a means of scoping the literature to see what was already known and shared about the experience of these populations of people in England and Wales.

The details of the search strategy, the full table summarising content and themes of the gathered papers, and the easy read version of the themes were too large in terms of word count and file size to add into the main body of the paper or as appendices, so we are adding them here.

This folder contains three items:

Details on the literature search strategy named as Appendix A of the Rapid Review

The table showing the details and initial finding of themes from the literature (named as appendix B in the Rapid Review)

The easy read themes identified in the rapid review (named as appendix C in the Rapid Review).

The Rapid review itself is shortly to be under review with an academic journal, and so is not included here. The journal article, once published, will offer links to the files archived within ORDA.
