Thermal and RGB Videos of Fire
This dataset is a result of the research output from the Innovate UK funded "Protecting Environments with Swarms of UAVs" project, a component of which deals with developing and testing fire detection techniques for combating wildfires. The University of Sheffield, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services, Windracers Ltd, Distributed Avionics and the University of Bristol were actively involved in developing autonomous fire detection and firefighting techniques.
This dataset comprises of the thermal and RGB videos that were used to develop autonomous fire detection and firefighting software which would be deployed on autonomous aerial platforms. These videos were recorded and distributed by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services as a result of their regular training exercises as well as special training and recording sessions as part of research activities for the project.
