Material which was disseminated during the event on 18th November 2020.

Amid conversations about ‘flattening the curve’ and the attention given to the coronavirus dashboard from John Hopkins University, data visualisations have been prominent during the current pandemic. We will be considering the practicalities of visualising CoVid-related data and the implications of the visualisations on policy and society with talks and discussion from:

  • James Wilsdon, Digital Science Professor of Research Policy, Information School
  • Colin Angus, Research Assistant, School of Health and Related Research

To find out more about data visualisation support at the University of Sheffield take a look at our Data Visualisation Hub.

This event is part of a series of Open Research Conversations facilitated by The University of Sheffield Library, which include talks from researchers and other experts to share their experiences, promote best practices and discuss the challenges they are facing.
