Response to ICO consultation on updated guidance on storage and access technologies
<p dir="ltr">This is a response to the <a href="https://ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/ico-and-stakeholder-consultations/2025/07/ico-consultation-on-a-new-chapter-within-the-draft-updated-guidance-on-storage-and-access-technologies/" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">ICO consultation on updated guidance on storage and access technologies</a>. The updated draft provides additional guidance on the new exceptions related to storage and access technologies introduced by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, and the response raises several points of consideration, including the information and means of objecting requirements, and the involvement of third-party services.</p>
