Drawing upon qualitative and quantitative research conducted in 2023-2024, it sheds light on Sheffield as a ‘social enterprise place’. This work was funded by the Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) and the European Regional Development Fund, as well as the Sheffield University Management School’s Impact Stimulation Fund. It has only been possible through collaboration with the Sheffield Social Enterprise Network (SSEN), Viewpoint Research CIC, and the assistance of many of Sheffield’s social enterprises and their supporters.</p>
