Stalefish is a software tool for the analysis of 2D brain slice images, allowing  the neurobiologist to reconstruct three dimensional gene expression  surfaces from ISH (or other histological) slices. The 3D surfaces can then be digitally  unwrapped to make 2D expression maps.
