Introduction:

Bracing is one of the most common non-surgical treatments used to prevent curve progression in patients with scoliosis of various etiologies. However, bracing remains controversial, with ongoing uncertainty about its effectiveness, impact on quality of life, and which patient subgroups benefit most. Many reviews have been published synthesizing studies on different aspects of bracing for scoliosis, but the overall evidence base is difficult to interpret due to differences in brace types, populations studied, and outcomes measured across reviews. A scoping review of reviews is needed to map the breadth and trends in the research base and identify gaps to inform future research.
